Historically inaccurate as the library in this movie was destroyed by the Romans before Jesus' birth, and the lady was not killed by an angry mob of Christians. Really enjoyed this, watched as background for a study improving but was good to see in its own right.

Our scant knowledge of Hypatia of Alexandria comes mainly from writers of the past two centuries. The smart way it was presented was not that they said "this is exactly what happened in that era", but rather in a story telling kind of way, which makes it impossible to condemn this movie, but also impossible to believe it :) or trust that these events were true!
