It is a good show Leslie just wants one thing in life - to beautify her small town.

Full of dry humour and very likeable characters.

In an attempt to beautify her town Leslie takes on what should be a fairly simple project: help local nurse Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones) turn an abandoned construction pit into a community park.Leslie makes an impression at her mother's banquet.Leslie balances her personal and professional duties. Over the years there have been additions and removals from the cast, but even with the shifting group of ancillary characters, the tone, pacing and humor have remained constantly excellent. It's a total whirlwind of comedy, emotions, satire, and moments that make you fall in love with these characters even more.

A superb cast with outstanding comic timing (led by the inimitable Amy Poehler as hyper-enthusiastic parks pundit … Ellen Degeneres humor. Supposedly season 2 is better.

The whole season had the underlying theme of the City Counsel election and that led to, in my opinion, two of the funniest episodes in the show's whole run - "Campaign Ad" and "The Debate." I don't know how one can rank one season of Parks and Recreation above the others -- although the addition of Rob Lowe and Adam Scott late in season 2 was brilliant and brought the show to a new level of quality -- which it has maintained at least through season 4 (I haven't seen all of seasons 5 or 6 yet).
