Tried Netflix, same thing. It is a Vizio soundbar.

ShieldTV Netflix skipping and No Sound With a few small exceptions, almost every video we try to play on netflix through our ShieldTV is skipping with no sound.

Also, can you please try the following: Yes, it only happens in apps. It was on Dolby, the switch to PCM has now fixed the problem it seems!

The sound bar works fine for the HDMI inputs of the TV, but all the apps will just bug out every time.

This seems to only be a problem playing through the ShieldTV (maybe AndroidTV, no other devices to test).

Can you please go to Menu>Support>Update Software>Check for Updates; to ensure you are on the most current software version?

The audio does the same thing.

I was able to overcome problem by using a Roku model 4620X (a smart device with powerful quad processor) to connect with Netflix etc.

Though the problem clearly is not the sound bar, but the TV. Both TV's are Vizio and optical supports PCM, Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 passthrough.
